During a recent property clearance, undertaken following the sad passing of a resident, our team uncovered a collection of paperwork dating back to the 1960’s. Among the items were original payslips and employment correspondence linked to the individual’s career in rail transport. These documents offered a rare and personal glimpse into Britain’s working history.
Preserving Local History
Recognising the potential historical value of the discovery, we contacted Milton Keynes Museum, who immediately expressed interest in preserving the documents for public display.
The items were personally delivered by Richard Day, Commercial & Operations Manager at DALPEST, ensuring they were handled with the care and respect they deserved.
